Wrap Dress Take 2

Ahh, finally a wrap dress for myself 🙂 I loved Hope’s dress so much that I made one for me! I had to modify the pattern I made for the last dress to make it fit me. The sleeves could use some taking in still.  I plan to post the pattern on BurdaStyle eventually (hopefully soon!). I’m telling myself that the creation won’t be posted until the pattern is ready, which should give me some motivation 🙂

Anyway, I love wrap dresses except that it was very windy today when I got to wear it…  hmm.  Oh well, it’s still fun!

    Hi,

I found your blog through a link to your fantastic wallet tutorial. I’m new to sewing, and you are such an inspiration. Everything you make turns out gorgeous!

    Hi there,
I’ve just joined Burda Style, which is how I found your blog, and was thrilled to find your wrap dress pattern – I’ve seriously been looking for one like this EVERYWHERE! I am a very beginner sewer, but excited to learn. I would LOVE to make the dress you posted, except that I’m a very different size – 16. Can you advise me how to adjust the pattern for my size?

I would really, really, REALLY appreciate any help you can give me.

    Thanks so much!

    Meg

I have a growing stash of fabrics that I’ve always considered “too nice to ruin” by trying to make clothes for myself out of them–with or without a published pattern. I’ve finally decided I should just knuckle down and improve my sewing and designing skills, and I’m so inspired by your projects, pictures, and patterns. Thanks for sharing them, and for getting me that much further down the road to actually enjoying the beautiful fabrics I’ve acquired over the years!
