Green Swimsuit

I made this swimsuit from Burdastyle’s Alison pattern.  It was very difficult.  I hadn’t done much sewing yet, and was trying to follow directions off of a blog (because the pattern instructions were no good).  I had tons of problems with the lining of it, but I still think it truned out ok :)  It’s definitely wearable, though not perfect by any stretch of the imagination!  I’m not sure I’ll be making a swimsuit again, but it’s good to know that if I need one and can’t find one, I can always make it!

It’s adorable. You did wonderfully. I love the choice of fabric, color and pattern as well. Good job. Don’t hesitate to make another one sometime. This one was definitely a huge success!

It’s gorgeous! Off to check out the pattern on the Burda Style page……

Dang, it only goes up to a large……wonder if it is possible to overlay a larger size pattern for a basic one piece from another company and adapt it to “my size”?

I love the combination of color and style – it looks like you were ambitious with an early project – and it turned out very nicely! (Sewing swimsuits isn’t a beginner’s project – my sewing teacher started us off with aprons. I’d been sewing for a year or so already and didn’t LIKE going back to basics, but I learned a few things from her!)
