About

My name is Liz and I’m a fabric-aholic! I live in Cincinnati, OH with my husband of 3 years and my 2 adorable but crazy doggies, Archie & Dusty. I got my new sewing machine as a birthday present from my husband in ’08.  I have been sewing since August ’08 and am loving every second of it!

I hope you enjoy my blog.  It is a chronicle of my sewing adventures, and a way for me to keep my creations in one place :)  Thank you for visiting!

My Sewing Machine

I own a Singer Confidence 7470.  It’s a really good machine.  I wrote an in-depth review of it here.  Just a warning: it’s very long.  You should read it if you are seriously considering this machine.

hi! i love your space, you have alot of room! I have been sewing for a few years, but not too seriously. I’m picking it up this year and you have inspired me with this blog.
you certainly took this on full force!

godspeed to both of us! 🙂

Your space is absolutely beautiful! I’m so jealous. 🙂 Oh how I would love to have a whole room dedicated to my craftiness. At the moment, my craft room is also the second bedroom and the office…but I definitely have enough stuff (can you say 6 large rubbermaid containers of fabric, plus lots of yarn) to have a room all to itself!

I spent hours in your blog. You write well and the pictures are very nice.

You make me think that i need starting to photograph my sewing projects. It´s important as an archive and to see the work progress.

I´m 30, journalist, married, mother of a 2 years-old boy. I work hard on a brazilian tv news channel, but on my free time I´m crazy about sew, sew, sew….

Hope we can change some informations and, maybe, if you want, some fabrics too!

    Nice to “meet” u,

Is your wallet tutorial available to print in .pdf format? Looks very promising. I’ve started two others by purchased patterns that lie unfinished in my “To do” drawer. With your very clear instructions this might be a Done Deal.

If the tutorial of the wallet organizer available in.pdf format. I’ve started others that are unfinished. Appears your directions may be the clearest ever. I’m curious to try it.

Thank you so much for your fabulous tutorials. You are fantastic at giving instruction, providing clear pictures, and at sending warning before the sewer is about to hit a hard sopt. I used your wallet tutorial and LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT. I love taking patterns and modifying them using different techniques that I have learned. I made 5 different wallets in 2.5 days just trying different things here and there.. Thank you!!!

I wrote about the Norma Kamali dress from Wal-Mart’s. It’s no longer in stock! Guess that’s because they had reduced it. If you’d like to see it now someone probably bought all of them and has listed them on eBay for $36. You’d have to go http://www.ebay/normal kamali.com I’m pretty sure Wal-Mart will carry then again with their winter line of Kamali’s, they’ve had them in prior years. Sorry, I’m feeling pretty sheepish about all this.
